Epitomes is my solo show, which was taken place at MOCA Taipei. I included series of drawing, porcelain and paper objects in the space. Having been inspired by Taiwanese temples having many pair objects, I displayed all works as a pair. The drawings and the paper objects are hybrid of Taiwanese architecture and the porcelain work is inspired by Brutalist architecture in the USA. Having those architectural work with non- -architectural materials, with reference from various culture, I attempt to create “nowhere-ness”, a place, where seems to exist but doesn’t in reality.
